Why Enteral?

Our Story: It takes a village to help a patient

AmyTF.jpg

Our favorite phrase is "it takes a village." If you have ever been hospitalized, you know exactly what that means. You have surgeons, nurses, PTs, OTs, respiratory therapists, radiologists, oncologists, pharmacists, critical care specialists, pathologists, case managers, social workers, chaplains... and dietitians. Among many, many, many other clinicians providing you specialized care.

But what happens when you go home?  What did they say about your feeding tube?  How do you know you are getting enough fluids? You feel like you are eating, but you continue to lose weight. You can't get your energy back. You are in the bathroom all the time... or hardly at all... is that normal? Your surgeon told you to eat one thing, but your oncologist said the exact opposite. These are just a few of the comments heard from patients over the years.

Let Enteral help fill that gap and give you the support you need after discharge. We want to help people that have been discharged home that are trying to manage their nutritional care. There are too many patients coming back to the hospital due to inadequate nutritional follow up or specialized nutritional knowledge. After tube placement or after discharge from the hospital, you may continue to need specialized individualized care that is possibly not available or inadequate where you are. We are excited to bring you Enteral- a way to provide tube feeding expertise to all that need it. We work with you AND your existing medical teams.

After all, it takes a village.
